IEC 60335-2-3 Feeler Gauge for Unintentional Touch Test Within 13mm
This Simulated Hand Feeler Gauge (Figure 103) is a standard-compliant test accessory matching the simulated-hand probe defined under IEC 60335-2-3 Clause 22.13.
Manufactured from premium stainless-steel material, this gauge cooperates with the IEC Figure 102 simulated-hand tool to identify hazardous zones beside appliance handles.
When end-users grip appliance handles during daily operation, unintended contact with internal live-risk components poses serious electrical-safety threats. Working together with the simulated-hand test probe, this feeler gauge assesses accessible parts located within 13 mm from the handle bottom. It verifies whether dangerous components can be accidentally reached, offering objective test evidence for household-appliance safety evaluation and certification submission.

Application & Usage
This feeler gauge is widely used in household-appliance R&D verification, in-house QC inspection and IEC safety certification testing.
Operators insert the Figure 102 simulated-hand probe into the appliance-handle opening, then apply this Figure 103 feeler gauge according to Figure 104 / Figure 105. It checks risky parts within 13 mm from the bottom surface of the simulated hand.
If the underside profile of the handle blocks simultaneous contact of point A and point B on the simulated-hand tool, carry out tests sequentially with one contact point at a time as permitted by the handle opening.
This set-up reveals hidden accidental-touch risks, guides manufacturers to optimize handle-structure design, eliminates potential electric-shock hazards and helps household appliances meet international safety-access requirements.
