System Overview
Laboratory Introduction
This laboratory utilizes insulated chamber panels and an accompanying air reprocessing unit to provide a stable temperature and humidity environment for washing machine performance testing. Utilizing a constant temperature water system and related measurement and control systems, the units under test can operate continuously at a temperature of 23±2°C and a humidity control of 65%±5%. This facility provides the necessary conditions for testing washing machine energy consumption and other performance tests.
This project, a washing machine performance laboratory, primarily includes three test stations for washing machines and one test station for a reference machine. The goal is to establish a state-of-the-art laboratory capable of washing machine testing, improving product qualification rates and market competitiveness.
Main Components of the Laboratory
Laboratory Structure
The laboratory covers an area of approximately 51㎡. It consists of a test room and an equipment room, capable of conducting washing machine performance tests. This laboratory can conduct tests at three stations simultaneously. The laboratory construction mainly includes the following parts:
Test chamber room
Refrigeration and chiller units
Environmental control system
Constant temperature and pressure water supply system and piping system
Control system
Water hardness control system
Measurement system (test stations can measure inlet water temperature, pressure, water hardness, and electrical parameters)
Power supply system and secondary power distribution engineering

Test room ambient temperature requirements: 10°C-35°C, typically 23°C, with a control accuracy of ±1°C
Test room ambient humidity requirements: 55% RH-75% RH, typically 65% RH, with a control accuracy of ±2% RH
Temperature uniformity: Horizontal temperature nonuniformity: ≤±1°C (10°C-45°C)
Vertical temperature gradient: ≤±0.5°C/m (16°C-45°C), ≤1.2°C/m otherwise
Wind speed: ≤0.25m/s
Power supply voltage control: ±1%
Water supply temperature requirements: 10°C-60°C, adjustable within ±1°C; direct water supply is also possible
Water supply pressure: (0.03MPa-1.2MPa), adjustable within ±0.02MPa, typically 0.24MPa ±0.02

Water hardness range: (0.1～3.0 mmol/L)±0.2mmol/L, manually adjusted
Test Accuracy Requirements
Electrical instruments: Current, voltage, power, etc., 0.25-level, voltage range 0-600V, current 0-20A, accuracy: ±0.5%
Temperature acquisition: ±0.1°C, resolution: 0.01°C
Test room door: W1200mm x H2200mm, no threshold, with an observation window
Lighting: Four double-tube, fog-proof and waterproof fluorescent lamps (with protective covers) are installed
A single-phase AC backup power outlet is installed on the wall (at the door)
The test room has a sign indicating the test operation
Ceiling: 600x600mm perforated aluminum panels are used to ensure uniform air distribution
The test room floor is made of concrete, waterproof, paved with anti-slip tiles, and has drainage grooves
Environmental Temperature and Humidity Control Device
Air Handling Unit: Stainless steel housing (1 unit)
Air Supply: Centrifugal blowers (2 units)
Water-cooled chiller: 1 unit
Heating Device: Stainless steel electric heater, three-phase power regulator, easy to disassemble and maintain
Humidification Control: Stainless steel electric humidification tube, three-phase power regulator, all-stainless steel water tank with removable and washable cover for easy scale removal (1 unit)
Protective Devices: 1 set for air pressure, overtemperature, water shutoff, high and low pressure, and overcurrent

Constant Temperature and Pressure Water Supply System
Each workstation has a three-way water supply system. Two of them are constant temperature and constant pressure water supply systems, including cold water tanks and hot water tanks. The water temperature and pressure are adjustable, and the water hardness is manually controllable. One is tapping water supply; all water pumps are southern stainless-steel pumps.
