Yes, it is 100% wireless and battery-powered. You do not need to mess with complicated electrical wiring. Just mount the bracket using the included screws or adhesive tape, and snap the doorbell into place.
2. Does the doorbell support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No, like most long-range smart home devices, this camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only (which provides better wall penetration). Please ensure your router is set to 2.4GHz or split your bands during setup.
3. Do I need a monthly subscription to save videos?
No, a subscription is not mandatory. The doorbell has a Micro SD card slot (supports up to 128GB) for local storage. You can view playback anytime for free. Optional Cloud storage is available via the Tuya App if you prefer backup.
4. How do I hear the doorbell inside my house?
The package includes a free indoor Chime (USB plug-in type). You can plug it into any USB port in your home. When someone presses the doorbell, the indoor chime will ring, and you will simultaneously receive a video call notification on your phone.
5. How long does the battery last on a single charge?
It depends on usage and motion detection sensitivity settings. Typically, the built-in rechargeable batteries last between 2 to 3 months with average use (10-15 wake-ups per day). You can monitor the battery level directly in the App.
