S31803 provides outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially suitable for chloride-containing seawater environments. Its duplex microstructure offers significantly higher yield strength, delivering superior performance under pressure. The material maintains structural stability under extreme operating conditions including high temperature, high pressure, salt spray, and sulfide environments.
S31803 seamless tubes are widely used in oil and gas extraction and offshore platform piping systems, refining and petrochemical process lines, chemical plant material transfer pipelines, seawater desalination heat exchangers, high-pressure boilers, and waste heat recovery units. With excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, they operate reliably in harsh conditions such as salt fog, acidic/alkaline solutions, chloride-rich environments, and high-temperature steam.
SMLSCO's production process includes piercing, cold rolling, solution treatment, bright annealing, pickling, straightening, and nondestructive testing. Each key step is monitored by the QC team, with photo documentation and archived records to ensure full traceability.
S31803 offers approximately twice the yield strength of 316L and superior pitting corrosion resistance, especially for seawater and chloride environments. It significantly increases system safety and reduces maintenance costs.
