The production of WP2507 butt-welded fitting reducer begins with high-quality super duplex stainless steel raw materials. The pipe is first processed into a concentric reducer shape using advanced press forming technology, followed by a critical heat treatment process. The temperature is strictly controlled between 1025°C and 1125°C, followed by rapid quenching to ensure an optimal balance between ferrite and austenite phases. After forming, the concentric reducer undergoes surface treatment before the bevels are precision-machined. Finally, rigorous dimensional inspections and non-destructive testing are performed to ensure zero-defect products leave the factory.
For WP2507 super duplex butt-welded fitting, SMLSCO mandates radiographic testing (RT) to ensure the internal quality of the welded sections. We utilize high-penetration X-rays to irradiate the weld area of the concentric reducer, creating an image on the induction film at the back. Through this method, our quality control team can clearly identify internal defects invisible to the naked eye, such as cracks or porosity. Every welded fitting in SMLSCO's stock must pass 100% RT, providing the highest level of safety assurance for distributors.
