GSM01 Series SMT PET Sharp Angle Double Splice Tape Universal
GSM01 series Double Splice Tapes are used to join SMT component carrier tapes. Supplied in pre-cut strips of PET tape, use without the splice tool and clip. Each piece has 10 embossed dots on either side to help align with the carrier tape. Three kinds of anti-static, half anti-static and non anti-static
Instructions for Using GSM01 Series Double Splice Tapes
1.Use the Cutting Tool to Accurately Cut the Carrier Tapes: Begin by using a cutting tool (such as GSMTL20, GSMTL30, or GSMTL40) to accurately cut the carrier tapes. Ensure that the cuts are clean and precise, as this will impact the quality of the splice.
2. Remove the Release Liner of the Splice Tape: Next, remove the release liner from the splice tape to reveal the adhesive side. This adhesive side will be used to join the cut carrier tapes.
3. Align the Cut Carrier Tapes with the Placement Guide: Align the cut carrier tapes (with the cover tape facing down) with the placement guide on the splice tape.
4. Place Both Joining Carrier Tapes onto the First Strip of the Splice Tape: Carefully place both joining carrier tapes onto the first strip of the splice tape. Ensure that the tapes are aligned correctly and that the adhesive side of the splice tape makes contact with the carrier tapes.
5. Fold Over the Second Strip to the Underside of the Carrier Tape: Fold over the second strip of the splice tape to the underside of the carrier tape. Press firmly to ensure that the adhesive makes a strong bond with the carrier tapes.
6. Remove and Discard the Clear Plastic Cover and Guide: Finally, remove and discard the clear plastic cover from the splice tape to complete the splice. The splice is now ready for use in the SMT production process.
