Textile Grade Sodium Alginate is a versatile product with specialized applications across multiple industries, particularly in textile printing and manufacturing processes.
Sodium alginate has a long history in starching, finishing, and printing applications, primarily in textile printing. As a reactive dye printing agent, it possesses unique properties that make it ideal for dye fixation processes.
During the reaction between fiber and reactive dye, sodium alginate does not participate in the chemical reaction, preventing fiber hardening, brittleness, and poor coloration. Instead, it produces clear outlines, bright colors, and smooth textures in the final product.
This agent is suitable for cotton, wool, silk, and synthetic fibers. Medium and low viscosity products are particularly well-suited for net or roll-style printing requirements.
Sodium alginate can be mixed with asbestos short fibers, with the mixture solidified using calcium acetate solution.
