Vertical Slewing Drive Description
The square-tube split-type slewing drive for solar tracking systems is developed based on mechanical reliability design principles and is optimized for long-term field operation. The system architecture separates the driving mechanism from the load-bearing structure, allowing independent servicing and mechanical isolation of critical components.

The load-bearing frame adopts a reinforced square-tube profile to increase torsional stiffness and reduce structural deformation under high dynamic loads. Finite element optimization is applied to enhance overall mechanical strength while minimizing material fatigue under cyclic loading.
The drive unit operates with a low electrical power input below 150 W while achieving a rated output torque of 7,500 Nm or higher. With a holding torque capacity exceeding 45 kNm, the system effectively prevents reverse rotation caused by strong wind loads and mechanical rebound.
The entire drive assembly is sealed to IP66 protection level, providing resistance against dust particle ingress and high-pressure water jets. The system is designed for continuous operation in environments ranging from -40°C to +80°C, making it suitable for deserts, coastal regions, and cold-climate installations.
Components are selected based on fatigue resistance and long service life requirements. The mechanical transmission system is designed to minimize wear and mechanical backlash, ensuring stable torque output and consistent tracking precision over extended service periods.
The modular split-type configuration reduces installation complexity and allows rapid on-site disassembly of the drive unit without disturbing the structural framework. This approach shortens maintenance cycles, lowers labor cost, and increases system availability.
