Tempered safety glass, also known as toughened glass, is processed through high-temperature heating and rapid air cooling to greatly enhance its mechanical strength and thermal stability. It is 4–5 times stronger than ordinary float glass. When broken, it shatters into small, blunt granular fragments without sharp edges, effectively avoiding cutting injuries, which makes it a reliable safety material.
