The wire feeding mechanism is a crucial component in a two-axis CNC spring machine responsible for accurately conveying wire material. Wire feeding wheels are installed on the wire feeding shaft, fitting tightly with the wire through specially designed grooves, smoothly conveying the wire into the processing area under the drive of the wire feeding shaft. The tension adjustment device plays a vital role, as it can adjust the wire's tension in real-time based on the force conditions during processing, ensuring that the wire maintains a consistent tension state throughout the feeding process. When processing wires of different materials and diameters, operators can flexibly adjust the tension using the tension adjustment device to avoid quality issues in spring manufacturing caused by unstable tension, such as uneven pitch and diameter deviations.

The cam mechanism is the core component for achieving complex spring shapes in two-axis CNC spring machines. It consists of a camshaft, multiple cams of different shapes, and cooperating rollers and connecting rods. The camshaft rotates under the drive of the camshaft motor, and as it turns, each cam on the shaft pushes the contacting roller and connecting rod mechanism along a specific contour curve. This movement drives the tools and clamps installed at various workstations to perform actions according to predetermined trajectories and sequences. By carefully designing the shape and size of the cams, precise control over key processing stages such as spring outer diameter, pitch, cutting, and forming can be achieved. During the processing of compression springs, the cam mechanism accurately controls the variation in pitch, allowing the spring to have different compression properties at different sections; when processing shaped springs, the cam mechanism drives the tools and clamps to complete complex bending, twisting, and other forming actions based on preset shape requirements, thus enabling the manufacture of various special-shaped springs.
