Description:
2205 stainless steel plate is a duplex stainless steel plate composed of elements such as iron, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, manganese, nitrogen, etc., combining the characteristics of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels.
- Corresponding grades: American standard UNS S32205 UNS S31803, European standard EN 1.4462, Japanese standard NAS 329J3L.
Characteristic:
- Mechanical properties: yield strength up to 450MPa, tensile strength up to 640MPa and above, elongation ≥ 25%, high hardness and good impact toughness, able to withstand high stress and high pressure.
- Corrosion resistance: containing chromium (22%), molybdenum (3%), and nitrogen (0.18%), it has strong resistance to point corrosion and crevice corrosion in oxidizing and acidic solutions, strong resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and obvious advantages in chloride ion environments.
- Physical properties: Density of 7.98g/cm ³, melting point of 1300-1390 ℃, lower coefficient of linear expansion than austenitic stainless steel, similar to carbon steel, thermal conductivity of 19.0 W/(m · K).
- Processing performance: It can be processed through conventional welding, cutting, bending, and forming processes. Hot forming should be carried out at temperatures below 600 ° F as much as possible, and after processing, it needs to undergo solid solution annealing and quenching treatment.
