Chemical Composition

-Main elements: Contains iron (Fe), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), titanium (Ti), etc. Among them, the chromium content is generally between 17% and 19%, which can improve the corrosion resistance performance; Nickel content ranging from 9% to 12% can enhance strength and plasticity, and improve corrosion resistance; Titanium is an important alloying element that can combine with carbon to form stable carbides and improve high temperature resistance.
-Other elements: It also contains a small amount of carbon (C), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), manganese (Mn) and other elements, which to some extent affect the properties of steel. For example, when the carbon content is high, it can improve strength and hardness, but reduce plasticity and toughness.

Characteristic

-Strong corrosion resistance: Elements such as chromium and nickel form a dense oxide film, preventing external media from contacting the substrate and resisting chemical erosion in various environments. Especially, the addition of titanium effectively controls the formation of chromium carbide and improves intergranular corrosion resistance.
-High temperature strength: It can maintain stable performance at high temperatures, resist creep and stress relaxation, and has excellent high-temperature stress fracture performance and high-temperature creep resistance, suitable for high-temperature environments.
-Good processing performance: easy to cut, bend, weld and other processing operations, with good plasticity and toughness, able to meet the needs of manufacturing various complex shapes and structural components.
-Excellent low-temperature toughness: It still has good toughness in low-temperature environments, is not prone to brittle fracture, and can be used in some low-temperature working scenarios.

Classification

-Classified by manufacturing method: It can be divided into hot-rolled stainless steel plate and cold-rolled stainless steel plate. The thickness of hot-rolled plates is generally 4.5-100 millimeters, while the thickness of cold-rolled plates is generally 0.02-4 millimeters.
-Classified by the structural characteristics of the steel grade: it belongs to austenitic stainless steel.
