What does AISI stand for in stainless steel?
AISI stands for American Iron and Steel Institute. Therefore, both grade 304 stainless steel and grade 316

conform to the American standard. The European equivalents are 1.4301 and 1.4401, respectively.

What is 8K finish stainless steel?

What is SS 321 material?
Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is a titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good general corrosion resistance.

precipitation range of 800 –1500°F (427– 816°C).

What is the difference between 310 and 310S?
Type 310S Stainless Steel is identical to Type 310 except for a lower carbon content that minimizes carbide

precipitation and improves weldability. They are essentially nonmagnetic as annealed and become lightly

magnetic when cold worked.
