AISI 348H stainless steel (UNS S34809) offers exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for demanding applications. This high-carbon grade features superior properties with minimum 16% chromium content, enhanced by nitrogen and carbon for increased strength. Molybdenum improves pitting resistance, chromium enhances hardness, and titanium serves as an austenite stabilizer to improve weldability and heat resistance.
The grade demonstrates excellent processability characteristics with good formability and toughness, ensuring reliable performance in various industrial applications.
This grade resists various corrosive elements including sulfuric acid, chlorides in water, and air pollutants. Its excellent weldability allows for manufacturing complex shapes without quality degradation.
