Product Introduction
The corresponding Chinese brand of 309S is 0Cr23Ni13, and the American standard S30908 (American AISI, ASTM). Features and applications: Offers superior corrosion and heat resistance compared to 0Cr19Ni9.
309S is a low-carbon variant of 309 stainless steel designed for welding applications. The reduced carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone near welds, preventing intergranular corrosion (weld decay) in certain environments.
Applications
Primary use: furnace materials. Widely employed in boilers, energy sectors (nuclear power, thermal power, fuel cells), industrial furnaces, incinerators, heating furnaces, chemical processing, petrochemical industries, and other critical applications.
Each pipe undergoes nondestructive electric testing or hydrostatic testing per A999/A999M standard
Pipe lengths from NPS 1/8" to NPS 8 available up to 24ft (15-24ft range), with custom short lengths available
Finished pipes are straight with workmanlike finish; imperfection removal by grinding permitted within wall thickness limits
Butt weld ends conform to ANSI B 16.25 standards
Pipe marking includes: Logo + Standard + Size + Heat No. + Lot No. + H.T/E.T/U.T
Packaging includes plastic end caps, anti-rust steel strip bundling, and plastic woven bag or film outer wrapping
Packing marks indicate: Size + Steel Grade + Quantity/Weight/Meter
