AISI 316Ti steel is a molybdenum-bearing Austenitic Stainless steel grade by adding the element titanium, as a microstructure stabilizer, making it better in corrosion resistance compared to 316L grade. The steel is characterized by good ductility and plasticity and can be used for most acids and salts environments containing sulfur dioxide, and phosphoric acid at room and low temperatures.

One of the essential properties of 316TI SS is its corrosion resistance. This alloy contains a high percentage of chromium, which gives it excellent resistance to corrosion in various environments, including marine, chemical, and food processing applications.
Another key property of 316TI stainless steel is its high-temperature strength. This alloy can maintain its strength and hardness at temperatures up to 1500°F (816°C), making it ideal for use in high-temperature applications such as furnace parts, heat exchangers, and boiler tubes.
In addition to its other outstanding properties, 316TI stainless steel has good weldability. This alloy can be readily welded using all standard welding methods, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
Another important property of 316TI stainless steel is that it is non-magnetic. This makes it ideal for applications where magnetic properties are undesirable, such as food processing equipment, medical devices, and electronics.
Alloy 316Ti is widely used in marine industrial, chemical processing and medical industries due to its excellent strength and good corrosion resistance. SUS 316Ti is used in construction encasement, doors, windows and armatures, medical implants, surgical implants, containers and tubes for chemical tankers, warehouse and land transportation of chemicals, food and beverages, pharmacy, synthetic fiber, paper and textile plants and pressure vessels.
