Hastelloy C276 Round Bars
Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with unmatched resistance to a broad spectrum of corrosive media. Its composition includes 54-60% nickel, 14-18% chromium, 15-17% molybdenum, 3-4.5% tungsten, and ≤2% iron.
Corrosion Resistance: Withstands oxidizing and reducing environments including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, chlorine gas, and seawater
Mechanical Strength: Minimum tensile strength of 100 ksi/689 MPa and yield strength of 45 ksi/310 MPa at room temperature
Fabricability: Easily machined, welded, and formed with specialized tooling
Hastelloy B-2 Round Bars
Hastelloy B-2 is optimized for resistance to strongly reducing environments, particularly those containing hydrochloric acid, with 65-70% nickel and 26-30% molybdenum composition.
Reducing Environment Resistance: Excels in pure hydrochloric acid and other reducing acids
Thermal Stability: Maintains properties at temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C)
Mechanical Performance: Minimum tensile strength of 95 ksi (655 MPa) and yield strength of 40 ksi (276 MPa)
Hastelloy B-3 Round Bars
Hastelloy B-3 offers improved resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in mixed acid environments with refined composition including 65-70% nickel and 27-32% molybdenum.
Mixed Environment Resistance: Outperforms B-2 in solutions containing both reducing acids and oxidizing contaminants
Weldability: Superior post-weld corrosion resistance without need for heat treatment
Mechanical Toughness: Minimum tensile strength of 100 ksi (689 MPa) with excellent ductility
Hastelloy X Round Bars
Hastelloy X is engineered for high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance with balanced composition including 47-54% nickel, 18-22% chromium, 17-20% iron, and 8-10% molybdenum.
High-Temperature Performance: Maintains structural integrity at temperatures up to 2200°F (1204°C)
Thermal Fatigue Resistance: Withstands repeated thermal cycling without cracking
Fabricability: Easily welded, forged, and machined with good formability at elevated temperatures
