Cold-rolled steel sheet, commonly known as cold plate, is manufactured from hot-rolled carbon structural steel strips through further cold rolling processes. With thickness under 4mm, these sheets offer superior surface quality and dimensional accuracy due to room-temperature rolling that prevents iron oxide formation.
After annealing treatment, cold-rolled steel sheets demonstrate excellent mechanical and technological properties that surpass hot-rolled alternatives. This makes them ideal for numerous applications, particularly in household appliance manufacturing where they have largely replaced hot-rolled steel sheets.
