Ideal for aerospace, defense, medical instrumentation, spring manufacturing, and high-precision industrial components, 17-7 PH can be easily machined or formed in its annealed condition and then heat-treated to achieve ultimate tensile strengths exceeding 1380 MPa (200 ksi) and hardness up to 48 HRC—all while maintaining corrosion resistance comparable to Type 304 stainless steel.
