316L stainless steel strip is a low-carbon, molybdenum-enhanced austenitic alloy designed for superior weldability and resistance to sensitization (carbide precipitation). Ideal for applications requiring repeated welding or exposure to extreme temperatures, this variant minimizes intergranular corrosion risks while retaining the hallmark corrosion resistance of the 316 family.
Enhanced Weldability: Low carbon content (<0.03%) prevents carbide formation during welding.
Stress Corrosion Resistance: Excels in chloride-rich or high-humidity environments (e.g., offshore rigs, coastal infrastructure).
Biocompatibility: Meets ISO 5832-1 and ASTM F138 standards for medical implants and surgical tools.
Thermal Stability: Performs consistently in cryogenic to 800°C (1472°F) conditions.
