C4 stainless steel pipe (00Cr14Ni14Si4) is an ultra-low carbon high silicon austenitic stainless acid-resistant steel with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. It performs well in strong oxidizing media, especially in concentrated nitric acid, and is known as the king of comprehensive performance.
The main chemical components of C4 stainless steel pipe include:
Carbon (C): 0.03%
Silicon (Si): 3-5%
Manganese (Mn): 1%
Chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni): 13-15%
Phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S): 0.035% and 0.03%
These components give C4 stainless steel pipe excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties
Corrosion resistance: C4 stainless steel pipe performs well in strong oxidizing media, especially in concentrated nitric acid, and its corrosion resistance far exceeds that of general stainless steel (such as 304L). Its corrosion resistance is similar to that of high silicon iron, but its mechanical strength and processing performance are better.
C4 stainless steel pipe can withstand the full concentration of nitric acid at room temperature, and also has excellent corrosion resistance in chromic acid.
Application areas: C4 stainless steel pipe is widely used in chemical, fertilizer, mining, metallurgy, national defense, petrochemical, medicine, chemical fiber, pesticide, dye, papermaking, food and other industries. Especially in the environment of concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid, its performance is particularly outstanding, and it can withstand concentrations of more than 98%.
Heat treatment and welding process: The heat treatment process of C4 stainless steel pipe includes heating to 1050℃, keeping warm and then cooling to water for solid solution treatment to obtain the best corrosion resistance. When welding, use 0.12 silicon electrode for manual arc welding, and solid solution treatment is required after welding.
