Description:
The main alloy elements of duplex steel are Cr, Ni, Mo and N.Among them, Cr and Mo increased the content of ferrite and Ni and N were austenite stable elements.Some types of steel have elements such as Mn, Cu and W.Cr, Ni, Mo can improve corrosion resistance.The resistance to pitting corrosion and crack corrosion is particularly good in the environment containing chloride.
The microstructure of duplex stainless steel is about 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, so the duplex products have the physical properties of ferrite and austenite.
The duplex stainless steel is resistant to cracks caused by chloride stress corrosion of austenite and has good resistance to local corrosion.Duplex steel is easy to weld into shape, similar to the grade of austenite.
According to different contents of chromium, nickel and molybdenum, duplex stainless steel is divided into four categories: precision, duplex, superduplex and superduplex.This duplex stainless steel is about twice as productive as the austenite and can be used to design thinner tubing.
Higher hardness provides better wear resistance for high precision tubes.
Two phase stainless steel 2205 standard no. : ASTM A240/ a240m-01 two phase stainless steel 2205 alloy is a composite stainless steel composed of 22% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy.It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local resistance to stress corrosion.
