Different from high-temperature focused 310S/309S heat-resistant stainless steel and ordinary chromium-nickel 300 series without molybdenum, S31600 316 is developed specially for all kinds of mildly corrosive working environments where common 304 rusts easily. The core alloy difference lies in extra molybdenum composition inside metallographic structure, which greatly improves anti-pitting and crevice corrosion performance, solving the industry point of spot rust and perforation caused by chloride ion accumulation.
