This 304Ti (UNS S30435) stainless steel rod is a titanium-stabilized upgraded version based on classic 304, specially engineered for construction projects featuring extensive on-site welding and alternating temperature environments. Different from regular 304, low-carbon 304L, high-carbon 304H and other 304 series variants mentioned before, this grade adds titanium element for metallographic stabilization, solving the common welding-induced intergranular corrosion and thermal aging issues of ordinary construction stainless rods. Combined with standard ASTM and AISI manufacturing norms, it delivers balanced structural strength, temperature resistance and long-term anti-rust performance, becoming a dedicated reliable material for high-standard permanent building structures. All rods are produced via integrated rolling and homogenization treatment, with dense internal structure, uniform grain distribution and low residual stress, fully adapting to complex construction working conditions and long-term outdoor service requirements.
The core design of 304Ti lies in titanium stabilization technology, which is its biggest distinction from other 304 derivatives. During high-temperature processing and field welding of building components, free carbon atoms inside common stainless steel tend to combine with chromium, forming chromium carbide along weld lines. This phenomenon will deplete chromium on grain boundaries and lead to intergranular corrosion, gradually causing rust and strength loss at welding joints. By introducing titanium, 304Ti preferentially fixes free carbon elements, effectively blocking the formation of chromium carbide and thoroughly eliminating hidden corrosion risks of welded structures.
Compared with 304L that relies on ultra-low carbon to avoid welding corrosion, 304Ti retains standard carbon content, so it maintains higher room-temperature strength and structural rigidity. It performs better on heavy-load building support parts, and will not suffer from insufficient hardness when bearing long-term static pressure. Unlike 304H optimized purely for high-temperature creep resistance, 304Ti takes both welding stability and medium-temperature oxidation resistance into account. It can work reliably under continuous temperature fluctuation between normal temperature and 600°C, resisting thermal fatigue and surface oxidation scaling, ideal for building parts near heating pipelines, ventilation systems and outdoor sun-exposed structures.
In terms of environmental adaptability, it inherits the excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance of 304 series. It stands against rain, moisture and mild coastal salt mist, keeping intact performance and metallic appearance for decades without frequent anti-rust maintenance. It is non-magnetic after processing, and will not cause magnetic interference for building auxiliary electrical and mechanical accessories.
304Ti stainless steel rod has excellent comprehensive machinability tailored for building construction. It supports conventional sawing, fixed-length cutting, chamfering and bending with regular construction tools. The material has moderate ductility, no cracking or fracture at bending sections, and the formed shape stays stable without rebound.
Its outstanding welding performance is the key advantage for assembled buildings and large welded structural frames. Whether using manual welding or gas shielded welding, the weld seam is smooth and firm. The welding area maintains the same corrosion resistance and mechanical strength as the base metal, and no complicated post-weld heat treatment or anti-corrosion treatment is required. This greatly simplifies on-site construction procedures, shortens project cycle and reduces hidden dangers of structural quality.
All finished rods go through precision straightness calibration. Even long-size rods for building main supports keep excellent straightness, ensuring accurate positioning and uniform force bearing during installation. We also provide pre-processing services according to construction drawings, delivering semi-finished products to save customers secondary processing costs.
Following strict ASTM and AISI production specifications, we strictly control the addition ratio of titanium elements and smelting purity during raw material refining, to guarantee the stabilization effect of the material. After rolling, the rods undergo dedicated homogenization heat treatment to unify internal metallographic structure and release processing stress, avoiding deformation in long-term use.

For packaging, rods are wrapped with anti-scratch and moisture-proof film first, then bundled tightly and fixed with reinforced wooden frames.
