Introduction

High carbon chromium bearing steel refers to the high carbon alloy steel with 1.40-1.65% of chromium.It is characterized by uniform and stable microstructure after heat treatment, good wear resistance, high stress fatigue strength, good dimensional stability and good wear resistance.

This type of bearing can meet the working requirements under general working conditions. The brand numbers of ordinary high-carbon chromium bearing steel are GCr15 and GCr15SiMn.The performance of these two bearing steels is basically the same. But the hardenability of GCr15SiMn is better than GCr15, so GCr15SiMn is used for relatively large bearing parts. Because GCr15SiMn has high crack sensitivity and low impact resistance, it cannot fully meet the requirements for thick-walled bearings and mine bearings. Therefore, the railway department does not allow the use of CGr15SiMn on passenger car bearings. It is also limited to thick-wall rolling mills and mining machinery under large compact loads.

Hardness

Our modern heat treating facilities, complete with controlled atmosphere and temperature, this enables us to maintain the Rockwell hardness within the standard range during any production process and reach any specific hardness specified by the customer. AISI E52100 Chrome Steel Balls are made with a through hardness of HRC 60 to 67, depending on requirements.
