Description
Good overall performance, good cutting performance after spheroidizing annealing, high and uniform hardness after quenching and tempering, high wear resistance and contact fatigue strength, and good thermal processing performance. Contains more alloying elements and is cheaper. GCr15 steel is the most used and produced high carbon chromium bearing steel, and is widely used in the world. However, it has strong white spot sensitivity, poor welding performance, high and uniform hardness, and good wear resistance. Used to make small cross-section quenched and tempered parts with larger load and large normalized parts with less stress.
The chromium balls are made of the highest quality chromium alloy steel and are quenched to achieve maximum strength and service life. Ideal applications for chrome balls include rolling media, ball bearings, wind turbine bearings, and linear motion components. The most widely used in various industries.
In addition to the standard size of 25.4mm (1"), we also produce non-standard size ranges, such as 25.37mm, 25.38mm, 25.39mm, 25.41mm, 25.42mm, 25.43mm and other materials such as stainless steel, chrome steel.

GCr15 representation method
1. The two digits at the beginning of the steel number indicate the carbon content of the steel, expressed as two thousandths of the average carbon content.
2. Except for a few trace alloying elements, the main alloying elements in steel are usually expressed in percentages.
3. Alloying elements in steel, such as vanadium V, titanium Ti, aluminum Al, boron B, and rare earth Re, are all microalloying elements. Although the content is very low, it should still be marked on the steel.
4. High-quality steel should be marked with "A" at the end to distinguish it from ordinary high-quality steel.
5. Special purpose alloy structural steel, the steel number with (or suffix) symbol represents the purpose of the steel.
Note of GCr15
1. The residual copper content (melting analysis) of the steel for bearing steel pipes should not exceed 0.2%.
2. The oxygen content is measured on the billet or steel.
3. The sulfur content (melting analysis) of wire rod steel should not exceed 0.02%.
