ASME SA106 Gr.B is a standard specification for seamless carbon steel tubes designed for high-temperature, pressure-bearing service in boilers, superheaters, and pressure piping systems—featuring excellent high-temperature strength, pressure resistance, and weldability. The Embedded G Type Fin Tube with Cu-T2 Fin is a high-efficiency composite heat transfer component: it’s fabricated by mechanically embedding high-purity copper (Cu-T2) fin strips (with ultra-high thermal conductivity) into the outer surface of SA106 Gr.B seamless base tubes. Its core advantages come from the synergy of the base tube’s high-temperature/pressure capacity, Cu-T2 fins’ superior thermal conductivity, and the G-type embedded structure’s low contact thermal resistance & structural stability. This product meets the demand for efficient heat exchange in medium-high temperature (≤480℃) and medium-pressure scenarios, serving as a key component in power, chemical, and metallurgical heat transfer systems.

1.Fin Material: Cu-T2 vs. Aluminum
Fin Embedded G-type TubeCu-T2 fins have 2-3 times higher thermal conductivity than aluminum fins, enabling more efficient heat transfer in low-temperature difference scenarios. Aluminum fins are lighter and lower-cost but have poorer high-temperature oxidation resistance (unsuitable for >200℃ long-term service). This product (SA106 Gr.B+Cu-T2) is ideal for high-efficiency medium-high temperature heat exchange, while the aluminum fin variant fits low-cost, low-temperature applications.
2. Base Tube :SA106 Gr.B vs.SA179
SA106 Gr.B base tubes offer higher high-temperature strength and pressure-bearing capacity (suitable for ≤480℃, ≤10MPa conditions), while SA179 base tubes (low-carbon steel) have better formability but lower high-temperature performance (≤300℃, ≤6MPa). The former targets medium-high pressure heat exchange; the latter is for low-pressure, medium-low temperature scenarios.
