Embedded finned tubes with a base tube material of ASME SB163 N04400 (Monel 400) are designed for seawater cooling heat exchangers where corrosion resistance, long-term service performance, and reliable heat transfer are critical requirements.
The embedded fin structure is manufactured by machining grooves on the outer surface of the base tube and inserting metallic fins into the grooves, creating a mechanical bond between the tube and fins. This structure improves heat transfer efficiency while maintaining the excellent seawater corrosion resistance of N04400 alloy.
With strong resistance to seawater, salt solutions, and many chemical environments, Monel 400 embedded finned tubes are widely used in marine cooling systems, offshore equipment, and industrial heat exchange applications.
Embedded finned tubes using N04400 base tubes are mainly applied in heat transfer equipment exposed to seawater or corrosive cooling media.
The dimensions of embedded finned tubes can be customized according to heat exchanger design requirements.
