ASTM A179 Wound-Fin Tube for Pasta Pre-Dryers and Main Dryers is a heat transfer component designed for air heating systems used in pasta processing and industrial drying equipment. It combines a seamless low-carbon steel tube manufactured to ASTM A179 requirements with helically wound aluminum fins to provide a large external heat transfer surface.
The ASTM A179 carbon steel base tube provides reliable mechanical strength and pressure resistance for heating media such as steam or hot water, while the aluminum fins increase the effective heat transfer area on the air side. This construction is particularly suitable for continuous hot-air circulation systems where compact equipment dimensions and efficient heat transfer are required.
Wound-fin tubes can be manufactured according to the customer's heat exchanger design, including tube diameter, wall thickness, fin height, fin thickness, fin pitch, finning length, and unfinned tube sections.
