Air cooled heat exchangers (ACHE) and fin fan coolers are essential for heat rejection in refineries, petrochemical plants, and power stations. Manufactured from seamless A335 P22 chromium-molybdenum alloy steel (2.25Cr-1Mo) with integrally welded solid helical fins, this fin tube delivers exceptional heat transfer efficiency and structural integrity at metal temperatures up to 580°C. It offers outstanding resistance to creep, oxidation, and hydrogen attack, making it the preferred choice for hydrotreating, hydrocracking, and catalytic reforming air cooler bundles. Every tube is produced and tested in strict compliance with API 661 and ASME standards, ensuring reliable long-term performance, reduced maintenance, and lower lifecycle costs in the most demanding refinery and petrochemical service.
ASTM A335 P22 (2.25Cr-1Mo) offers superior creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and resistance to hydrogen attack at elevated temperatures. This material is the standard choice for air cooler bundles in hydrotreating, hydrocracking, catalytic reforming, and atmospheric/vacuum distillation units, operating reliably at metal temperatures up to 580°C.
Base tubes are manufactured from seamless A335 P22 pipe with fins applied by high frequency resistance welding (HFW), ensuring a homogeneous metallurgical bond with consistent fin pitch, height, and thickness. Each tube undergoes hydrostatic testing and dimensional inspection before shipment.
