Its structural characteristic is the dense arrangement of fins, with fin spacing as small as 0.5mm, and the fins are distributed in a serrated pattern. This design creates intense turbulence in the fluid flow outside the tube, effectively increasing the heat transfer efficiency.
What is manufacturing process of serrated finned tubes?
The manufacturing process of serrated finned tubes is similar to that of high-frequency welded spiral finned tubes, with the difference being that the serrated finned tube requires local cutting of the strip material before winding. During winding, the cut parts naturally separate to form a gear shape. This design not only simplifies the winding process and reduces deformation but also ensures tight bonding, high strength, good resistance to thermal and mechanical vibrations, excellent thermal expansion performance, low flow loss, and strong corrosion resistance.

High Heat Transfer Efficiency:
The serrated fins easily create turbulence in the flue gas outside the tube, resulting in a higher film heat transfer coefficient compared to integral finned tubes. For example, when exchanging heat between flue gas and water, the heat transfer coefficient can reach 30-50 kcal/m².The serrated design increases the contact area between the fins and the fluid, further enhancing the heat transfer effect.
