1. Product Description

The Heavy Duty Alloy Steel D Shackle is a robust, high‑performance lifting and rigging component designed for demanding engineering rigging, construction hoisting, safety net (webnet) tensioning, and heavy machinery fixing. Manufactured from high‑strength alloy steel with a hot‑dip galvanized finish, this D‑shaped shackle offers excellent corrosion resistance, exceptional breaking load capacity, and long service life in harsh outdoor and industrial environments.

The shackle features a classic D‑shape body with a round pin and is optionally available with a safety bolt pin for added security. It complies with international standards for heavy‑duty lifting and is 100% load tested. Available in sizes from 3 mm to 32 mm, with breaking loads ranging from 400 kg to 38,000 kg (0.5T to 35T+), this shackle is fully customizable in size, packaging, logo, surface finish, and material (alloy steel or stainless steel upon request). 5.1 Material & Strength

The shackle is forged or precision cast from high‑strength alloy steel (typically grade 20# or 35# carbon steel with quenching and tempering). The material provides high yield strength, ductility, and resistance to shock loading. The D‑shape geometry minimizes stress concentration at the pin holes and distributes the load uniformly along the curved body.

5.2 Safety Factor

These shackles are designed with a safety factor of 4:1 or 5:1 (breaking load vs. working load limit). For example, a shackle with a breaking load of 10,000 kg has a safe working load (SWL) of approximately 2,000–2,500 kg. Users must never exceed the SWL and should consider dynamic loads, angles, and wear.

5.3 Hot‑Dip Galvanizing

The galvanized coating (typically 40‑80 µm thickness) provides sacrificial protection against corrosion. The zinc layer corrodes preferentially, protecting the steel base even if scratched.
