ASTM A519 1020+N Cold Drawn Seamless Precision Tubing – OD 3.6mm, ID 1mm for Motorcycle Fuel Injection Line

This precision cold drawn seamless steel tube complies strictly with ASTM A519 Standard for Seamless Carbon Steel Mechanical Tubing. The material grade is SAE 1020 carbon steel delivered under Normalized condition (1020+N). Finished dimension: Outer Diameter 3.6 mm, Inner Diameter 1 mm. It features ultra-tight dimensional tolerance, smooth inner surface and excellent roundness, specially developed and produced as fuel injection pipeline for motorcycles.

2. Chemical Composition (Heat Analysis, % by Weight)

Low carbon formulation achieves balanced ductility, bending performance and machinability without extra alloy additives.

3. Mechanical Properties (1020+N Normalized State, Minimum Values)

The normalized microstructure delivers stable mechanical performance, excellent vibration fatigue resistance, suitable for tube bending, flaring and other secondary forming processes during motorcycle assembly.

4. Heat Treatment: Normalizing & Annealing Specification

Marking 1020+N stands for Normalized treatment as official delivery condition:

1. Normalizing Process (+N) Heat tubing to 890–950 °C, maintain sufficient soaking time for uniform through-thickness heating, followed by air cooling to ambient temperature. Functions: Refine grain structure, eliminate residual stress generated in cold drawing, improve material toughness, stabilize mechanical properties and guarantee long-term dimensional stability for fuel delivery pipelines.
2. Optional Stress Relief Annealing If deep cold forming is required for subsequent processing, stress relief annealing can be carried out at 650–700 °C, hold and slow furnace cooling. It removes internal processing stress to prevent cracking during bending. Full annealing service is available upon special customer requirements.

Note: Normalizing (+N) instead of soft annealing is the designated delivery state for this motorcycle fuel injection tubing.

5. Application & Usage

This OD3.6mm × ID1mm ASTM A519 1020+N cold drawn seamless tubing is mainly used as motorcycle fuel injection pipe / fuel injector delivery tube.
