What is S31603?
S31603 in 316 based on the reduction of carbon content, is a super-low carbon steel, a variety of organic acids, inorganic acids, alkalis, salts have good corrosion resistance, with good resistance to intergranular corrosion of the sensitized state of performance. Welding performance is good, suitable for multi-layer welding, no heat treatment after welding, no tendency to cut corrosion after welding.
The S31603 has rugged and robust chip characteristics. The use of circuit breakers and curlers is recommended. Use large tools and plenty of cutting fluid whenever possible. Heavy positive feed at low speeds should be considered . It is tough and ductile and can be easily cold worked such as roll forming, profile forging, cold heading, deep drawing, bending, etc. Without any difficulty parts that are heavily cold formed should be annealed to remove stress.
Characteristic of ASTM A276 316L Round Bar
Corrosion resistance: stainless steel round bar can form a dense chromium oxide film due to the chromium element in its composition, so that it has good corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of most chemical media.
High temperature resistance: stainless steel round bar has good high temperature resistance, can maintain its strength and hardness in high temperature environment, not easy to deform.
High strength: stainless steel round bar has high strength and hardness, can meet a variety of occasions requiring high mechanical properties.
Easy machinability: stainless steel round bar has good plasticity and machinability, can be easily cut, welded, stamping and other machining processes, to produce a variety of shapes of parts.
Aesthetics: stainless steel round bar has a silver-white luster, beautiful appearance, commonly used in decoration, interior design and other fields.
Hygienic: Stainless steel round bar is non-toxic and tasteless to food, and easy to clean and disinfect, so it is widely used in food processing and medical fields.
