ASTM A268 TP410 / UNS S41000 / EN 1.4006 Ferritic Stainless Steel Seamless Tube for Heat Exchanger
ASTM A268 UNS S41000 TP410 seamless tube is a martensitic stainless steel tubular product, manufactured without a weld seam, specifically intended for use in heat exchangers operating at moderate temperatures (≤600°C) and pressures, offering good oxidation resistance, high tensile strength, and superior wear resistance, but requiring strict control of thermal cycling to avoid 475°C embrittlement and mandatory PWHT for any welded fabrication. Each tube shall pass the flattening test and flaring test per ASTM A268. Supplementary requirement S1 (hydrostatic test) or S5 (eddy-current test) applies per ASTM A1016.
