What is ASTM a815?
The ASTM A815 covers Duplex Steel and Super Duplex Pipe Fittings / Buttweld Fittings used for bleaching equipment in the pulp and paper industry also for high-temperature service.
Duplex stainless steels are extremely corrosion resistant, work hardenable alloys. Their microstructures consist of a mixture of austenite and ferrite phases. As a result, duplex stainless steels display properties characteristic of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. This combination of properties can mean some compromise when compared with pure austenitic and pure ferritic grades.
Duplex stainless steels are in most cases, tougher than ferritic stainless steels. Strengths of duplex stainless steels can in some cases be double that for austenitic stainless steels.
S32750 duplex pipe fittings is one of the buttweld fittings and is available in various shapes, sizes and specifications. This is used in marine industries, nuclear projects, power plants and other chemical industries. The durability of ASTM A815 WPS S32750 Fittings is excellent and the specification of this has two types i.e. WP and CR. By using several chemicals like carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon and many more are used. Several grades are also involved like ASTM A815 UNS S31803, A815 UNS S32750 lot more.
