Overview

 

An Incoloy 800HT concentric reducer is a type of pipe fitting used to connect two pipes of different diameters in a piping system.

  • Incoloy 800HT: Incoloy 800HT is a high-temperature alloy that belongs to the Incoloy family of nickel-iron-chromium alloys. It offers excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, carburization, and corrosion, making it suitable for applications in elevated temperature environments.
  • Concentric Reducer: A concentric reducer is a type of pipe fitting that allows for a smooth and gradual reduction in pipe diameter. It has a conical shape with one end larger in diameter than the other, allowing for a seamless transition between the two pipe sizes.
  • Connection of Pipes: Incoloy 800HT concentric reducers are used to connect two pipes of different diameters in a piping system. The larger end of the reducer is welded or threaded to the larger diameter pipe, while the smaller end is connected to the smaller diameter pipe.

Incoloy 800HT concentric reducers provide a reliable and corrosion-resistant solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in high-temperature applications. Their use of Incoloy 800HT alloy ensures excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and corrosion, making them suitable for demanding environments. Why forged fitting is better than butt-weld fitting?

 

  1. Forgings have higher strength and toughness because they change the shape and structure of metal materials by applying high pressure, thereby optimizing them in both grain and fiber directions.
  2. The surface finish and dimensional accuracy of forgings are higher, as they are processed and formed through molds, so their surface and dimensions are more accurate and can meet higher requirements.
  3. The material utilization rate of forgings is higher because they are manufactured by plastic deformation of metal materials, so their material utilization rate is higher than that of welded parts.
  4. The internal structure of forgings is more compact because they change the structure of metal materials by applying high pressure, making their grains more compact, thereby improving their strength and toughness.
  5. Forgings have better wear and corrosion resistance because their internal structure is more compact, making them better resistant to wear and corrosion.
