ASTM A213 TP321 is a seamless austenitic stainless steel tube specifically engineered for high-temperature and corrosive service environments. The grade is stabilized with titanium, which provides exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion and makes it suitable for a wide range of demanding industrial applications, from boilers to chemical processing equipment.

Primary Standard: ASTM A213/A213M - Standard Specification for Seamless Ferritic and Austenitic Alloy-Steel Boiler, Superheater, and Heat-Exchanger Tubes.
Related Standard: ASTM A312/A312M for seamless austenitic stainless steel pipes.
Key Designation: The "TP" stands for "Tube, Pipe." The "H" variant (TP321H) has a higher carbon content for improved creep-rupture strength at elevated temperatures.
Common Size Range: While custom sizes are available, typical tubing supplied to this specification has an outside diameter ranging from 3.2 mm (1/8 in) to 127 mm (5 in) with wall thicknesses from 0.4 mm to 12.7 mm.
Material and Chemical Composition
TP321 is a titanium-stabilized derivative of the classic 18-8 (Cr-Ni) stainless steel. The addition of titanium (at least 5 times the carbon content) prevents chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries during high-temperature exposure, thereby maintaining its corrosion resistance.
