Introduction and Standard Specification

The ASME SA209 AL1060 Seamless Embedded Fin Tube is a high-performance, composite heat exchanger tube engineered for demanding industrial applications. This product combines the high-temperature pressure-bearing capabilities of a seamless carbon-molybdenum steel tube with the superior heat transfer properties of an aluminum fin.

The core tube is manufactured in strict compliance with the ASME SA-209/SA-209M specification, which governs seamless carbon-molybdenum alloy-steel boiler and superheater tubes. This standard ensures the material is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure service. The fin material, Aluminum Alloy 1060, is a commercially pure aluminum (99.6% minimum) known for its excellent thermal conductivity, formability, and corrosion resistance.

Material and Construction

This is a bi-metallic product where the aluminum fin is embedded or welded onto the steel base tube. This construction creates a metallurgical bond, ensuring optimal heat transfer from the fin to the tube and long-term durability under thermal cycling.

  • Base Tube Material: Carbon-Molybdenum Alloy Steel (per ASME SA-209 Grade T1, T1a, or T1b).

  • Fin Material: Aluminum Alloy 1060.
