1.ASTM A213 TP304(1.4301) Stainless Steel Seamless Tube
TP304 (often referred to simply as 304 or 1.4301 according to the European EN standard) is a grade of austenitic stainless steel. Its defining characteristic is the balanced chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) content (18-20% Cr, 8-10.5% Ni), which grants it good general corrosion resistance and formability. It’s a widely used general-purpose stainless steel, favored for cost-effectiveness and versatility, filling the demand for reliable materials in conventional service conditions.

5.TP304 vs. Similar Materials
1.TP304 vs. TP321: TP304 is more cost-effective and general-purpose, suitable for most conventional corrosive environments. But it’s not recommended for welded assemblies in the sensitization temperature range (450℃ to 850℃), where TP321 (titanium-stabilized) offers better intergranular corrosion resistance.
2.TP304 vs. TP304L: TP304L is the low-carbon (C ≤ 0.03%) version of TP304. The "L" boosts post-weld intergranular corrosion resistance, while TP304 has slightly higher strength and is preferred for non-welded/gently welded general service.
