The material possesses a characteristic austenitic-ferritic duplex microstructure, which provides a combination of high mechanical strength and superior corrosion resistance. It demonstrates exceptional resistance to localized corrosion, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in chloride-containing environments (e.g., seawater, brines, chemical process media).
