ASME SB338 is a standard specification covering seamless and welded titanium & titanium alloy tubes intended for condensers and heat exchangers. Though originally developed for heat exchanger service, tubes manufactured to this standard are widely adopted across many other critical industrial applications.

Grade 2 is unalloyed commercially pure titanium, featuring outstanding corrosion resistance, good ductility and moderate mechanical strength.

UNS R50400 is the Unified Numbering System designation uniquely identifying this material composition, which directly corresponds to ASTM Grade 2 titanium.
