A Stainless Steel Blood Lancet is a single-use medical device which is designed for capillary blood sampling. It functions as a small, sharp-pointed blade or needle used to make a quick, precise incision in the person’s skin, typically on the fingertip, heel, or earlobe, to obtain a small blood sample for diagnostic testing (e.g., glucose monitoring, hemoglobin tests, newborn screening). The Tri-Bevel Solid Tip is formed by grinding three distinct bevels (angled surfaces) to create an extremely sharp and solid point, which minimizes discomfort and tissue damage during the puncture. There are three types of blood lancets: Safety lancet, Twist Lancet, Flat Lancet. They generally consist of PVC holder and stainless steel lancet/needle. Our company mainly produce the metal part of the blood lancet, that is, the stainless steel lancet/Needles, which is made by SUS304/ANSI304 medical-grade stainless steel material due to its good corrosion resistance. The blood lancets’ s sizes range from 21G to 33G. We can customize based on clients’ drawings or samples.

The Advantages Of Tri-Bevelled Solid Tip

Extreme Sharpness: The three facets meet at a very fine, sharp point, reducing the force required for skin penetration.
Cleaner Incision: The sharp edges create a clean, surgical-style cut rather than a tearing puncture, which promotes better blood flow and faster healing.

Solid Tip: Unlike hollow needles used for venipuncture, this lancet is solid. It is designed to make an incision from which blood wells up, rather than to channel blood through a bore.

Injection/Incision Areas:

Fingertips: The most common site for adults, especially for glucose monitoring. The sides of the fingertips are preferred as they have fewer nerve endings.
Heels: The standard site for newborn screening (neonatal heel sticks). The lateral or medial plantar surfaces are used to avoid bone injury.
