ASTM A213 TP321H Stainless Steel Seamless Tube For Boiler and Heat Exchanger
ASTM A213 TP321H is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel seamless tube specifically designed for high-pressure, high-temperature environments. Its core characteristic lies in its stabilization treatment with the addition of titanium (Ti), which significantly enhances its resistance to sensitized corrosion. It is particularly suitable for components subjected to welding or prolonged operation in the 425-815°C temperature range, effectively preventing intergranular corrosion caused by chromium carbide precipitation. As a high-temperature (H) grade, its carbon content is controlled at 0.04-0.10%, ensuring excellent long-term strength and creep resistance at high temperatures.
It is typically used in critical equipment such as superheaters and reheaters in power plant boilers and heating tubes in the petrochemical industry. Its seamless structure ensures safety, reliability, and pressure-bearing integrity under extreme operating conditions.
Choosing TP321:
Type 321 can be used for corrosive operating environments and low operating temperatures, where long-term high-temperature strength and creep resistance are not critical.
Type 321 is recommended for long-term use in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, or when equipment specifications or design standards specifically require it. For example, in the manufacture of core high-temperature components such as superheaters and reheaters in power plant boilers, the creep resistance of the materials in these areas directly determines the service life and safety of the equipment.
Application
1. Power Generation: Classic Applications for TP321H Tubing
Superheaters and Reheaters: These are the hottest sections of the boiler.
High-Temperature Steam Lines: These are critical piping sections used to transport superheated steam within the system.
2. Petrochemical and Refining: In refineries and chemical plants, TP321H tubing is used in various high-temperature heat transfer devices.
Heater and Combustion Tubes: These tubing transports hydrocarbons through the furnace for heating.
Heat Exchangers: These are suitable for shell-and-tube heat exchangers handling high-temperature, corrosive process streams where standard 304/316 stainless steel is insufficient.
3. Industrial Furnaces: Heat Treatment Furnaces: These are used in radiant tubes, stills, and muffle furnaces for heating components in a controlled atmosphere.
