Weld Neck Flanges connect to piping systems. Their tapered neck design provides optimal stress distribution, with a smooth transition from the flange ring to the pipe wall, significantly reducing stress concentrations.
They are the preferred type for harsh operating conditions involving high pressures, high temperatures, severe thermal cycling, high vibration, and potential piping bending.
