ASTM A213 TP321(1.4541) Seamless Cold Drawn Exchanger Tube
TP321 (often referred to simply as 321 or 1.4541 according to the European EN standard) is a grade of austenitic stainless steel. Its defining characteristic is the addition of Titanium (Ti), which makes it "stabilized" and highly resistant to a specific type of corrosion called sensitization.
It is a critical material in power generation, aerospace, and chemical industries, filling the gap between low-cost TP304 and high-temperature TP347. Its performance is directly tied to its titanium content and strict adherence to standard chemical/compositional controls, making it a reliable choice for harsh service conditions.

TP321vs. TP304 and 321H
TP321 vs. TP304: 304 is more cost-effective and general-purpose but is not recommended for applications within the sensitization temperature range(450°C to 850°C) or where welded assemblies will face corrosive conditions. TP321 offers superior resistance due to its titanium stabilization.
TP321 vs. TP321H: TP321H is the high-carbon (C: 0.04-0.10%) version of TP321. The "H" denotes high-temperature service. It guarantees higher elevated temperature strength while maintaining resistance to intergranular corrosion. It is the specified material for ASME-code high-temperature pressure components. Standard TP321 prioritizes corrosion resistance.
