The ASTM B111 C12200 H55 Pure Copper Tube is a seamless, hard-drawn copper tube manufactured from phosphorus-deoxygenized copper(C12200) in accordance with ASTM B111 standard. The “H55° temper designation indicates that it is in a hard-drawn condition, providing high strength, rigidity, and excellent resistance to deformation under pressure.This tube is characterized by its superior thermal conductivity, outstanding corrosion resistance (particularly against water, steam, and atmospheric environments),and good formability for bending and flaring when annealed.It is primarily designed for use inheat exchanger and condenser applications where high mechanical strength and pressure integrity are required.

2. Key Adventages
Copper is an excellent conductor of heat. C12200 tubes facilitate highly efficient heat transfer, which is critical for the performance of heat exchangers, condensers, and evaporators, leading to greater system efficiency.
As a phosphorus-deoxidized copper, C12200 is resistant to "hydrogen embrittlement" and offers excellent corrosion resistance against water, steam, and various refrigerants (like Freon), ensuring long service life.
The H55 (drawn temper) designation means the tube has been cold-worked, giving it higher tensile strength, yield strength, and hardness compared to soft tubes. It can withstand higher system pressures and is more resistant to deformation.
Even in the hard temper, copper retains some ductility for bending and flaring during installation. Its surface is ideal for brazing and soldering, creating strong, leak-proof permanent joints with reliable processes.
Copper ions have natural oligodynamic properties, meaning they can kill bacteria, viruses, and molds. This makes it an ideal material for potable water systems in hospitals, schools, and other hygiene-critical applications.
