The outer and inner diameters must be strictly controlled, typically with tolerances at the micron level. This ensures a perfect fit between the needle and the syringe and smooth delivery of medication.

The wall thickness is extremely thin, minimizing the overall diameter of the needle to make puncture gentler while maintaining strength.Bright annealing is required to achieve a glossy finish. The inner wall must be mirror-smooth. Any slight roughness or imperfection increases resistance to the injection and may even cause blockage or contamination. The outer wall also requires a high degree of smoothness to minimize friction and damage to skin tissue during puncture, ensuring a comfortable injection process.

The needle tubing must be sufficiently strong and flexible to prevent bending or breaking during puncture, thereby avoiding brittle fracture.High-grade austenitic stainless steel, such as 316L or 304VM, that meets medical standards must be used. These materials offer excellent corrosion resistance and are non-reactive with body fluids or medications.
