ASTM A815 UNS S31803 Duplex Steel Fitting ASME B16.9 Buttweld Duplex 2205 Equal Tee" refers to a pipe fitting that is an equal tee (all three openings the same size) manufactured from duplex stainless steel grade UNS S31803 (commonly known as 2205), produced as a wrought buttweld fitting in compliance with ASTM A815 for material and heat treatment requirements, and dimensioned according to ASME B16.9 for factory-made buttwelding fittings.
Advantage: Duplex steels offers double the strength of 316L plus superior resistance to chloride corrosion and stress cracking.
Usage: The buttweld equal tee is widely used in offshore oil & gas, desalination, chemical processing, and heat exchanger systems to split flow into three equal paths under demanding corrosive conditions.
