A Large Diameter Butt Weld Equal Tee, manufactured in compliance with ASTM A403 WP347-WX, is a forged pipe fitting used to connect three pipes of the same nominal diameter at a 90-degree angle. The "Butt Weld" designation indicates that the fitting features beveled ends, designed to be installed by butt welding directly to pipes, creating a permanent, leak-proof, and high-strength joint suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature service. Austenitic Stainless Steel WP347(UNS S34700), offering excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. The "WX" classification is a critical quality designation: it signifies that all longitudinal welds (if fabricated) have undergone 100% radiographic. Offering excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding and high mechanical strength, making it ideal for corrosive environments in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemical, and power generation.

Compared to unstabilized stainless steels such as 304 or 304L, 347 exhibits higher creep rupture strength at high temperatures. This allows it to operate stably for extended periods in high-temperature environments ranging from 500°C to 800°C, resisting deformation and damage at high temperatures.
